“Family Outing” by Lauren Guillemette
“HOUSE PARTY!” by Tabitha Woolcott

About the Artists:

Lauren Guillemette is a junior double majoring in Studio Art and Political Science with a minor in Global Cinema. You can usually find her studying and (regrettably) listening to nightcore music. Outside of school, she likes to watch animated shorts and play chess.

Tabitha Woolcott is a British student studying abroad at UNC for the year. She loves moto boots, Donald Fagen and Sex and the City.

Note from the artist: This is a digital painting of Izanami-no-Mikoto, the Japanese goddess of creation and death. I have always admired nihonga (traditional Japanese painting) and wanted to emulate its flat and reductive style while also maintaining the “traditional arts” look, despite the fact that the painting was done digitally.
