Savannah Bishop (she/her) is a junior studying Media and Journalism on the Advertising/Public Relations track. It’s her second year with Cellar Door, but first year as EIC and she could not be more excited!
When she isn’t editing, you can find her listening to music, roaming the quad, or hiking in the NC mountains!

Treasurer
Carly Barello (she/her) is a junior majoring in Environmental Science and Statistics & Analytics interested in the renewable energy sector. She enjoys sewing in her free time, going outside on walks, and listening to her favorite artists Japanese Breakfast, Adrianne Lenker, or Fiona Apple.
She started as a part of the publicity team, and for a second year, she’s excited to continue to work in Cellar Door as Treasurer.
Poetry Editor
Syd (she/her) is a senior thesis poetry student and is very excited to be joining cellar door as poetry editor. She likes making art, caring for her plants, finding cool bugs, and petting stray cats. You can find her in the forest, in the hair dye aisle at your local drugstore, or reading Carl Hiaasen anywhere else.
Art Editor
Cathy Wang (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in psychology and studio art with a minor in chemistry. She is on the pre-med track but enjoys exploring art in her free time. When not contributing to Cellar Door, she enjoys photography, video creation, and rock climbing.
Fiction Editor
Brooke Xu (she/her) is a junior majoring English and Public Policy with a minor in Advertising/Public Relations.
When not working with Cellar Door, she loves reading, cooking, journaling, and going to the farmers’ market.
Creative Nonfiction Editor
Samiha Bala is a junior at UNC studying creative writing, journalism, and environmental science. She likes weird stories, small creatures, and sweet treats. In her free time, she enjoys telling dad jokes and climbing tall things.
Design Editor
Samantha Brenneman (she/her) is a Junior double majoring in Journalism and Art History with a minor in Studio Art. She worked with Cellar Door last year as an art reader and she is thrilled to be joining the editorial team as a Co-Design Editor.
Outside of the magazine, you can find Sam diving into a new book, sewing her own clothes, working on a new painting or collage, or you might even spot her running on the trails around Chapel Hill
Design Editor
Sophie Strickland (she/her) is a junior from Charlotte, NC and is majoring in media and journalism. She is a university staff writer for The Daily Tar Heel and the Director of Social Media and Marketing for her sorority. She enjoys running, and loves participating in the Tar Heel 10 Miler every year. She is so excited to be a part of the Cellar Door because she loves graphic design and thinks this is a great opportunity to improve her skills and learn from others!

Michelle Seucan (she/her) is a senior from NYC studying Economics and Creative Writing, and it’s her first time working at Cellar Door as a Publicity editor! She is a huge Chipotle enthusiast, loves to read and solo travel, and enjoys watching independent films.

Lauren Miller (she/her) is a junior from Charlotte, NC studying Business Administration and History with plans to attend law school. It’s her first year with Cellar Door as a publicity editor and she could not be more excited! In her free time she enjoys reading, making jewerly, and doing yoga.
